What Decade Are You Teaching In?

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

As educators redesign learning to suit the needs of 21st century learners how are you utilizing technology? Are you using it as instructional media or are you using it to create experiences where students are thinking critically, problem-solving, collaborating and demonstrating their creativity?

In this session we’ll explore a core set of apps that can be used across all devices and a core set of strategies that can be used across all disciplines. We’ll take a look at planning instruction so that you can create a student-centered learning experience that transcends the four walls of your classroom. We’ll explore tools that will allow you to build and develop a professional learning network so that you can support one another as you journey through these exciting times. Last but not least we’ll take a look at how you can engage parents in the process, redefining home-school relationships.

You might be teaching in this decade, but after this session the next time you sit down to plan a learning experience for students in your classroom, you’ll be preparing them for the decades to come.

Each participant will receive the e-Book, “Redesign Learning: Your One Screen iPad" which contains step-by-step tutorials and activities you can share with colleagues.
